Small leather repairs
First our trained technician will assess the damage and decide on the next step.
If the damage is small we repair immediately. We start by cleaning the leather using a specialised solvent-free compound.
Then we apply a quick-setting flexible moulding compound that copies the grain pattern of your leather into the glue.
We begin to repair the hole using a specialised glue. Even quite large holes can be repaired. As the glue sets we place the moulding compound across the glued area.
After one minute the mould is removed and the glue has taken the texture of the rest of your leather furniture and fixed it into the glue.
We then colour the repaired area - matching in a discreet area - by applying the colour compound to the repair.
We finish by polishing and buffing the repair.
Wooden furniture repairs
First our trained technician will assess the damage and decide on the next step.
If the damage is small - such as a dent - we repair immediately. We start by steaming out the dented wood.
Then we sand the wood back to its original shape.
We then apply a coloured wax compound to the repaired area, to restore the original colour.
Finally the wood is sealed with a lacquer - in either a matte or gloss finish.
We finish by polishing and buffing the repair.
Leather panel replacement
First our trained technician will assess the damage and decide on the next step.
If the damage is small we repair immediately. If the damage is large we will replace the whole leather panel. First we remove the whole damaged panel and replace it with a temporary calico/white cotton cover.
The panel is then taken to our unique Furniture Care Centre where we match your leather to a replacement piece from our large selection. First the leather is coloured to match your own furniture, then cut and sewn into the appropriate size panel. Finally we send the replacement panel back to you.
When you receive the panel our technician is sent to your house and refits it back onto your furniture.
Stain removal
First our trained technician will assess the damage and decide on the next step.
If the staining is small we repair immediately. First we identify the fabric, and the stain, to help us plan the stain removal.
Then we vacuum and brush the stain to remove any dust or dirt.
We then spray on our specialised cleaners and blot away the stain. This is then repeated and the remaining cleaner extracted.
If required, after 5 minutes we repeat the procedure.
We finish by drying the fabric with a warm air blower and cloths.
Mattress repairs
First our trained technician will assess the damage and decide on the next step.
If the damage is small - such as tufting - we repair immediately.We begin by choosing the correct tuft and threading the specialised tufting needle.
We push the needle through the mattress, adding a felt pad to keep it in place
We then add the correct tension and we’re finished.
If your mattress requires stitching we will complete that on-site too.
Using specialised needles our technician can also sew up any seam splits.
